Hey!
I am so excited to share my super fabulous/scary/exciting news with y'all!
I know that you are either thinking 1) Homegirl is certified cray cray or 2) What did Jesus "tell" this girl? Seriously...
SPARKLE, SHINE, & BE YOU!
I want to start an organization that helps young women realize their own self worth and their own potential. The organization will be open for girls ages 13-22 with different sub-groups (Middle School, High School, and College). The program will focus on current issues that each sub-group faces and will have support and guidance to help face those issues. The groups will have a leader that is NOT PERFECT. (GASP). I want to have women that have gone through tragedies or difficult things because they will be able to convey to the girls REAL stories. I do not want to start something where Ms. Meg is telling a story about this girl who is friends with her cousins boyfriends niece etc. The leaders will be young women that these girls can relate to and want to form an "older" sister relationship with!
I want this to be a SAFE place that is filled with imperfect woman, but woman that want to be the best that they can be. The organization will be an outlet for girls to have when they feel broken or need a shoulder to cry on. I want to tell my stories to young women and let them know that they do NOT need to be a victim and how to deal with being "broken". I will share more details with y'all as soon as I can, but I would love to hear some feedback as well!
I know y'all are like...what secrets does this girl have!? Trust me...I will spill my deepest darkest secrets with y'all soon.
Until then, please pray that I can get the support I need to start this organization and to help the women that need someone to tell them that it will all be OKAY!
At the end of the day...I want to inspire young girls to be Proverbs 31 women!
Have a great night, y'all! Thanks for reading Sparkle, Shine, and Divine!
Brittney
Hey y'all!
First, thank you for stopping my little corner of the Internet that SPARKLES! My name is Brittney and I am a college student working hard to finish my degree and spread my love for Jesus!
I know, I know...y'all are probably like...TYPICAL. This little southern girl who loves Jesus, her Momma and Daddy, and football. (She probably likes sweet tea and thinks Mac & cheese is a veggie too!) Gasp. Well y'all, every single word of that is TRUE and I am proud of it! (Secret: I was born a Yankee...)
I have had in my heart that I have always wanted to help people especially women to realize how awesome they are and what role they play in God's plan. Well, I have had in my heart that I was going to go to school for business and work in some marketing firm in HOTLANTA for the last couple of years. I know right, living the DREAM y'all...well that is until I got a little knock on the door...saying No, Ma'am! (Well, basically).
Have you ever felt as if God was just making things MESSY and creating huge obstacles in your life for you to not achieve YOUR own plans? Well, friends...Jesus has literally put a detour in almost every part of my own plan. I swear...my GPS is basically saying..."When legal...make a legal U-turn." (In life...lol) I have felt as if I have been spinning for MONTHS!
Well, sisterfrans...I have prayed as if it was a part-time job and not one where I get all cute for...no, no. I have cried, begged, and have been frustrated with God because I have felt so darn lost, y'all! I know, whisper and give me the judgemental eyes because I said I have been frustrated with the heavenly Father, but I am being 100 % honest.
If you did not know...Jesus, my main man has a killer sense of humor and right when you're about to give up and throw in the towel...HE speaks. Now, y'all he may whisper and you're doing the whole "Who...me!?" thing, but these are the times we need to LISTEN.
Are you missing the signs God is giving you or the words he is speaking to you?
I will be back tomorrow to share what God has put in my heart and what I am planning to do to spread the word of GOD!
Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths. Proverbs 3: 5-6
xoxo
